Completely different scenario, the Smile box had an official announcement and then teasers such as the H&V/GV 78 for Record Store Day and the Mojo Cabin Essence/Wonderful yellow vinyl. We have had precisely no information nor announcements whatsoever about the increasingly mythical 'Made In California'.

I'm even having a hard time remembering how we learned about this box set being planned..? Did we read it in passing in some interview or something? I mean, looking back on it now, it seems like we really took the info and ran with it. The Beach Boys hype machine has been off for months...I don't see this box set coming out. Undecided

Ah yes, that's right. Wasn't it mentioned in a press release as something else we could look forward to during all the C50 festivities? That seemed to be the first and last time it was "officially" mentioned.
