Hello,
A touch off topic but I figured some of you audio superstars may be able to help me.  I am looking for a good but cheap Cassette to cd (or mp3) converter.  Preferably one that you have tried and can vouch for its ease of use and quality job.  Any help would be really appreciated.  I have some rare stuff I wanna transfer.
Thanks in advance

I do a lot of stuff with Sony SoundForge.  Having used both consumer and professional versions of their software, I can say that SoundForge ought to do the job.  I wouldn't exactly call it cheap, though.  The consumer version runs around $70.

Also, if you need to clean up tape hiss or other noise from audio files, Bias SoundSoap is a great program that's effective and easy to use.  Also not cheap ($99), but the results are dynamite.
