Been thinking of some of the lesser known bands I grew up with, and who had some albums that I absolutely loved (and in most cases still do):

The Connells - Fun&Games, One Simple Word and Ring
Guadalcanal Diary - Walking In The Shadow of the Big Man, Jamboree, 2x4 and Flip Flop
Dada - Puzzle, American Highway Flower
Paul Kelly (sometimes with The Messengers) - take your pick, any album will do - this guy is great.
The Wonder Stuff - Never Loved Elvis (this is the only WS album I've ever heard, but I love it - anyone know this band well?  are their other albums also good?)
anyway, there's a few others but that'll do for the time being.
