I was under the impression that the band were out touring during the Sloop John B sessions (and the rest of Pet Sounds) but I hear Brian calling out 'Al' on the guitar a few times. Is Jardine present during the sessions? Or is it another Al?

It's Al Casey (guitar) or Al de Lory (piano). Too many Als!

Brian's probably calling out De Lory, since Al Casey is playing a virtually inaudible acoustic guitar.

Amosario, get this book:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0879308184/qid=1145654970/sr=2-2/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_2/102-4356654-8652959?s=books&v=glance&n=283155
It's a great book. Great read, great learn and a great reference. Lots of cool pictures of 60's vintage gear, as well as tons of Brian Wilson shots that aren't floating around the net.
The "Al" is probably Al De Lory the piano player on a lot of Brian's sessions.

Did it ever occur to you, Cable, how wise and bountiful God was to put breasts on a woman? Just the right number in just the right place. Did you ever notice that, Cable?
