Brian Wilson is from The Beach Boys.

The Beach Boys are one of the biggest bands of all time.

It's not that surprising

Yeah, but hip hop is not exactly the first genre of music I'd think of that were heavily influenced by the Beach Boys.  So the fact that a Brian Wilson reference found its way on a rap song is rather remarkable.

Well we might not have Kanye West sampling The Beach Boys but we do have the Insane Clown Posse

I think a rapper should sample Feel Flows. Good tempo, funky track, and the bit under the guitar solo would be hella dope.

You're right, the guitar solo part sounds just like something Kanye West would sample.

There should be an mixtape by a rapper that samples nothing but the beach boys. I'd love to hear those soft harmonies in the background as a rapper cleverly lace the track with smooth lyrics.
At first I thought this was a Beach Boys sample..check it out you guys and tell me what you think..

There is. It's called "In the key of dee" and it samples the entire Pet Sounds album. It's incredible.

Agreed, "Brian Looking Shady."

Here's something I put together earlier this year.  If you guys haven't had an opportunity to check it out, perhaps some will enjoy it!

Adieu Or Die (Full Audio with 38-Page PDF Booklet - http://www.divshare.com/download/16733827-ed3

Adieu Or Die YouTube Trailer 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAejrvtCkBw

The goal of Adieu Or Die is to rework selections from The Beach Boys catalogue and give
them a new, unexpected aesthetic. I want it to be a means for many to prick their ears up
about an often overlooked larger body of work from one of music’s most interesting groups,
as well as a means for the long time fans with open minds to hear re-imagined versions of
beloved songs.

Adieu Or Die YouTube Trailer 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9ICsqi_vs4

Adieu Or Die YouTube Trailer 3 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJo3zi1aMrM

Featuring takes on material from Surf’s Up, Smile, Wild Honey, 20/20, Sunflower,
15 Big Ones, Pet Sounds, Love You, Summer Days (And Summer Nights!!) and more.

And for those who haven't checked the "Ask The Honored Guests" -> "The Stephen Desper Thread" in a couple weeks, you may enjoy checking out what's happening over there lately!

Thanks NewGuy, I appreciate your kind words man.  In regards to your suggestions to work with Caroline No, Surf's Up and The Night Was So Young...

I for the most part tried to steer clear of Pet Sounds, as Buillon had already done an exceptional job with his project Pet Sounds in the Key of Dee.  However, I did work with some pieces of music he didn't utilize when it came to Pet Sounds.  Thin Air on Adieu or Die utilizes a Pet Sounds medley The First Edition did, available on Youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3q4Dm8ixBws

Here's Thin Air - http://soundcloud.com/willcmusic/thin-air

Meanwhile, 30 Days Later utilizes the vocals to I Just Wasn't Made For These Times, married to a sample of a South American LP from 1978. Here's 30 Days Later - http://soundcloud.com/willcmusic/30-days-later

Surf's Up was given a go here - http://soundcloud.com/willcmusic/neon-bygones

The Night Was So Young, a song I truly adore, was given a shot, but it didn't make the final cut.  Instead Airplane from Love You was chopped up on "747" - http://soundcloud.com/willcmusic/747-1

Man you seriously have talent the only thing I noticed about your instrumentals that I wasn't too fond of is that some of them (3 of them) have the same sound/flow with no major changes throughout the song except for the bits of talking in the intro or outro.(Unlike with Neon Bygones with had many different parts of Surf's Up to it.) (Which I absolutely love!!) You should change it a bit in the middle of the song by adding another one of their songs in the mix like that suite of whatever that group's name was performing it.
It's a beautiful thing to come across two great genres (that you wouldn't expect to ever parallel) and see them blended in one for a minute or two and your instrumentals is a product of it and I enjoyed it..(The way you added Nas in the Neon Bygones..it was ehhhh just felt totally out of place.) Man Brian's Epiphany/At the Roller Rink sounds so amazing...I really appreciate how you added the clips of the commentary to each track it adds even more life to them.
The way they were talking about Brian in his room away from the world in Seasons Ending is so sad but the music sounds so good that it doesn't make me feel bad it's just so chill.
