So, Bruce said the BB were mostly inspired by Benny Goodman and Frank Sinatra w/Nelson Riddle.  Sure, okay.

Yeah, and Mars Volta were inspired by Rod Stewart and Henny Youngman.

I'll buy THAT for a dollar.

The boys answered my question last night - mine was the one about pranks! I figured that it was something different, so hoped it would get picked and it did! I had a smile about as wide as my face when I saw they had replied! It was great to know some information that I had never seen before and I hope that you thought this was a good one to ask.

In response to the post about the new t shirt, I REALLY love the girl version of that but it's not on the UK store yet. The UK one is awful. I hope it's at the gig next week so I can get one.

Just gathering the "favourite song / album" answers:

Brian - "California Girls" / 15 Big Ones
Michael - "Good Vibrations" / Concert
Alan - "Their Hearts Were Full of Spring" (huh) / Summer Days
Historical - "The Warmth of the Sun" / Sunflower
David - "God Only Knows" / Surfin' USA

Mike specified that he was talking about the '64 album, not the '74 double. That all-important "in."

Pretty sure that's what I typed Wink But yeah, the titles are sometimes a pain.

A rather sorry affair really, but then again what did we expect? The guys clearly are at a phase where they don't want to be pushed any more (at least in interviews or Q&A's) and that sits ... relatively ok by me (I guess).

To the question which album he would re-made if he could, Brian answers "Endless summer"..... Is that a Brianism? Huh  LOL

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.
