It would be great if some of you could ask about "Love you" and especially about the recording process and the involvement of Al, Mike and Bruce and their opinion on the album.

Bruce once literally walked out of an interview at the mere mention of Love You. Might wanna leave him out of it when asking - he's barely on it, anyway.

So you think he would walk out during a twitter chat? I know he's probably the only Beach Boy that has him made more enemies than fans during the reunion but I don't think he would do that. He's there to answer all the questions that get through, so...

lawl, I don't particularly care if he walks out, but who knows. I'm sure it'll be like typical online chats with the technologically inept - 9 million questions get asked, a guy is sitting at the computer and asks select questions to the guys in the band.

If Bruce will walk out on a live interview at the mere mention of "My friend really likes the Love You album", not too far a stretch to imagine him doing so here. Not saying we shouldn't offend good ol' Bruce, just saying it might happen.

Well, maybe.
I don't think it'll be that much of an interesting interview to us fans. I guess it'll turn out to be all questions about "How does it feel to be back together?""Will there be another tour/album?""How did it feel in the studio recording for the first time in so and so many years together?""Do you still surf?""How does it feel to have the videos od Dennis and Carl in the show?" etc. I'd be surprised - and delighted - if there'll be some really good questions that maybe will turn to giving us some interesting answers from the boys.

Considerng they'll likely be flooded with n00b questions from blueboarders and such, folks around here should carefully choose what they go for.

In other words, we must all counter-flood with questions about a new album and Summer In Paradise.

I'd ask Brian if he has a new found appreciation for Sail On Sailor, after singing it with the guys on this tour. It certainly seems that way from watching the videos posted on YouTube.

As amusing as it'd be to bring up SIP over and over again, there's a very sincere element to my wanting to hear about it. I'm wondering whose goofy-ass idea was it to opt to try to bury something that, whether you like it or not, is part of your history regardless of it being terrible or not and regardless of whose baby it was. I doubt it was Brian, Mike, Al, Bruce, or David's idea.

IIRC, it pops up during the 50th slideshow things along with the rest of their albums. And M&B did play the title tune well into the 00's. I honestly think Mike loves it. Bruce either hates it because it lost them money or thinks it's on a par with Sunflower or a similar forgotten 'classic', although he doesn't mention it often if it all. I think Al hates it (adam_ghost could testify) and I don't suppose David would care.

Bruce very recently said he likes it. I have to imagine Brian is, at the very worst, indifferent to it. I've rarely heard him express a substantial amount of disgust for anything other than some of his own work, only praising things he loves, which says a lot about his character.

Interesting/amusing that Al hates it, although him being kind of a folkie d00d, I can see why.

Al hates it because he almost got kicked out of the band around that time. Mike "Kokomo" Love of 1992 was hard to deal with.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

How about asking them about recording processes or songs of certain albums? Wild Honey, Love You, Sunflower, So Tough (would be cool to hear Brian, Mike and Al talk about "Marcella").
Or about Dennis' work (and the big - commercial - success of the P.O.B. re-issue), what they remember about working with Desper, which was probably their most creative era, and if they'd agree that Carl was the guy who held everything together which was quite obvious to feel when after his death the band broke up.

I think the way I remember Adam telling it is, when they had Al guesting on a show of theirs, Mr Clean noticed Hot Fun In The Summertime on the setlist. He asked 'You're not doing our version of that, are you?' To which Adam replied 'No'. 'Good', sez Jardine.

How about asking Brian how his method of producing is different from than it was in the 60s?  Maybe that can set things straight with all the speculations of how much Brian is really involved.

Yeah, that would be a good topic. But I guess you have to clarify the question otherwise we'll probably get the same old answers
