I've heard some really impressive stuff from some of you guys since I started visiting this board a while back and thought I'd share a cover I did of "Please Let Me Wonder" and see what you think. Hope you enjoy.

Wow - fantastic job with the harmonies!!! You really capture the essence of the soft vocal approach Brian used for the original.

This is quite impressive.  Harmonies are good... your voice has traces of a latter-day Brian Wilson, in a good way.  It's just the auto-tune on the lead vocal that's going to take some getting used to.  I think my ears are stuck back in 1966 and have a hard time coping.   Grin

This is really wonderful.
You definitely did one of my very favorite songs ever justice.
Nice job!

your voice really reminds me of that Wolfson guy who sings in The Alan Parsons Project, and that's a compliment!

Holy sh*t, dude. This is my favourite BBs song / BW composition and damnit if you're not doing it justice. Thumbs up. (Could have wished for a more prominent lead vocal, though. But that's just the mix.)

Thanks, everyone, for the nice comments! I'm pleasantly surprised to find my cover re-discovered and read all of your thoughts on it. Glad I checked in here again!

This is quite impressive.  Harmonies are good... your voice has traces of a latter-day Brian Wilson, in a good way.  It's just the auto-tune on the lead vocal that's going to take some getting used to.  I think my ears are stuck back in 1966 and have a hard time coping.   Grin

Well, I'd prefer my voice have traces of an earlier-day Brian Wilson, but hey, that still makes my day.  Smiley     And just for the record.... I didn't process the lead vocal through an auto-tune device, per se, but I did nudge the pitch on a couple notes here and there. Again, I'm no earlier-day Brian Wilson.  Cheesy Glad you liked it for the most part though.

This is really wonderful.

Thank you so much!

Eric Woolfson! I always loved his voice but never tried to consciously emulate him. Wow. That's a very nice compliment!

It's one of my favorites, as well, and what I view as the quintessential BBs song. I really tried to duplicate the instrumentation and vocals as closely as possible and then sing the lead vocal as sweetly as possible. I'm not a great guitar player or singer, but I have a pretty good ear. I'm not 100% satisfied with the mix either. Thanks so much for the encouraging words!
