All --

I am doing some spring cleaning and downsizing, and can use a little extra cash, so I have some books on eBay for auction that will expire today.  I have some good stuff up there, and as of now the bids are ridiculously low ($5 for a hardback Leaf book from 1985, same for the McParland Sessions book -- Josh take note!).  Just go to eBay and search on "Beach Boys Book" if you are interested.  They will end tonight US time, so you'd better hurry!

OK, I hate to sound like a salesman here, but I am in shock.  In case I wasn't clear earlier...

Brad Elliott's book (hardback) - current price, $5.
David Leaf' bio 1985 version hardback - current price, $5
Stephen McParland's Recording Sessions book - current price, $5.
The Preiss bio and the Silver Anniversary book - Current price $5 each.

 Shocked

I thought that you all were talking about how hard it was to find these and how bad you wanted them.  Here's your chance!

Jeff, I'd snap Leaf right up, but I'm moving in a few days and I don't have even $5 dollars to spend right now due to all the upcoming expenses I'm facing.

Did it ever occur to you, Cable, how wise and bountiful God was to put breasts on a woman? Just the right number in just the right place. Did you ever notice that, Cable?

Yep.  Not pulling out, just realizing that most of these books are 1) in our library and 2) sit on my shelf for years at a time.  So why not get some extra cash, check them out when I want to read them, and rely on the books I AM keeping?

Jeff, you might consider putting any of the CDs and books that don't sell on ebay on half.com.

I might.  I was just panicky that the biggies were going to go for nothing.  The Leaf and McParland books are going for my expectations now so that's better.

Well, you COULD just go to eBay in a few hours and see if they are unsold with two minutes to go and speed the process up....

Well that was a shock.  I went to bed thinking I might pull a grand from all 8 books if I were lucky.  I come downstairs and in the course of 1 hour it went from that to three times that!   Shocked  Looks like Becah Boys fans ARE rabid!  $300!  Man, that is a lot to pay for books....
