One of the last true American Heroes has passed away. Sad

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Yeah. It's really sad.

I wonder if Americans will ever go back to the moon in our lifetime Undecided

God must’ve smiled the day Brian Wilson was born!

At least Aldrin's still alive.

This is so depressing. RIP.

In an age where pop-celebrities are worshipped like living gods, the humility of Mr Neil Armstrong was puzzling to alot of people. Beacuse he was a person that shunned fame and the spotlight, his abilities as a pilot are unfairly overlooked. Whether flying the X-15, saving Gemini 8 from potential disaster , or taking the first steps by any human on a world other than earth, his ability to remain cool is inspirational. I had the fortune to correspond with him following the writing of "Live TV From the Moon" and one thing he never forgot was that his first steps on the moon would not have happened without the 400,000+ people who worked to get him there.

Vale Neil Armstrong.
