Christopher Cross (whoever that is)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Cross

He was a friend of Carl's. He joined them on stage for one of the 4th of July concerts in '85 (iirc) and sang lead on Good Vibrations

Well, to be honest, seeing that they had a videowall, played "Forever" and "Isn't it time" leaves a little bad taste in my mouth. I won't complain because the show I saw was fantastic ! But the question naturally arises why Europe didn't get that treatment. Video walls would've been available over here as well. I mean they played the O2 world in Berlin and that's one of the most modern venues in Europe. ah...probably only because of Bruce... Wink

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

It does actually look like it may be a redesigned tour book. It has the "50" attached to the BB logo unlike the album, and whatever the title is, it's shorter than "That's Why God Made the Radio."

Good to see Forever and GOK's tribute back. Hope the screen makes it to Australia in some form in 2 weeks.

Only listed 30 plus songs. IIT back but no Add Some Music. Is this list confirmed anywhere?

I can't imagine what it would be like to see that screen in person while the guys are performing - awe inspiring.

Dude, it's great to see the screen, "Forever" and "Isn't It Time" back, but I'd totally trade the screen for the extra 12-15 songs you guys got over in Europe!!!  Ah well, I'm hoping that the show tonight in Osaka will be a little longer (it's a Friday night, and very centrally located, so should be easy for everyone to get home), and especially the Nagoya show, as it's starting an hour early.  We'll see!

Looks like it was 33 songs.  Japanese shows tend to start early and end early, because most trains stop running around midnight.  It will be nice to see America, but I'd gladly trade them for another dozen BB songs, too.  As I said, I'm hoping that they can add some songs to the Osaka and especially Nagoya show (since the Nagoya show starts early anyway).  If they could add In My Room, Please Let Me Wonder, I Just Wasn't Made For These Times, Darlin', This Whole World, Disney Girls and California Saga, it would still be a "shortish" 40 song set, but I'd be in heaven.  Ah well,
I'm sure it will be great anyway, but fingers crossed for a longer set...

I wouldn't trade "my" show to anything. That was a fantastic and fun concert and you really couldn't ask for anything more ! It just seems strange to me to use the wall in the US and Japan but not here.

Christopher Cross opened for and joined Mike and Bruce on stage for their New Zealand tour a few years back.  A talented performer and a first class gentleman. I was present when after the last show Christopher sought out Mike and thanked him most graciously for having him on tour. Mike and Bruce went of their way to ensure Christopher was included in everything.
