It's the same guy, merely 13 years apart. It's not sensational, or something.  Wink The similar composition of the images is a nice 'coincidence', though.

Its amazing how I can watch a video of Brian in 1965 and think "wow he has the exact same mannerisms he does today" and then see a video of him in the 80's and think "that's Brian Wilson?".

Youre not allowed to have a picture in your signature so imagine this : Tony Montana shooting a machine gun (his little friend), but the face is actually Mike Love haha.

It's kind of like he stepped out of his head for about 10 years or so, and is just coming back to being the same guy.

I've never seen that '67 shot before, but I'm guessing that's from the Lei'd in Hawaii visit if his sunburn and cocktail are any indication.

It's 1965 his hair wasn't that short in 1967 and he's thinner here.

I think it's '67 since he appears to look older than his '65-self. Also, at least during the Wally Heider Sessions he had about that hairstyle. It fits. I think it's '67.

Could well be but I still think his hair's a tad shorter and that he's ten pounds lighter than in 1967. I would say fall of 1965.

I mean, obviously he still has an upper lip. but if his replacement teeth don't jut out as much or something his upper lip wouldn't be as pronounced.

Most people's lips thin as they age. It's just collagen loss. Probably has nothing to do with new teeth, just normal aging, exaggerated maybe by his former smoking habits.

Part of Brian's upper lip was cut-off during routine surgery by a mad Canadian doctor who wanted to use Brian's DNA to create a new musical genius. Unfortunately his experiment went awry and we ended up with Justin Bieber.

The more things change, Mike Love stays the same.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

I know some of the stuff he does is weird, but I've never failed to see him still in there.  All the new pictures of him, I see the same expressions on his face and the same wondering look that he had when he was 22.

I'm a sucker for that stuff though, I do that with everybody.  I see old ladies and can tell how they must have looked when they were 20, or look at pictures of family members when they were kids and see the similarities.
