Recommend a non smudge retractable pen, ball point or gel.  Preferably one I can buy at OfficeMax.

I like Bic sticks, too, but i require the fine points.  And i much prefer .5 mm mechanical pencil lead to the .7 mm.

I recommend the bic medium also, and by the way, it even writes on soft toilet paper....(yes, I do know this, I had to write an address on a piece once)

I bought some Bic SoftFeel Retractable Ballpoints and Zebra F-301 Ultra Retractable Ballpoints.  Both appear to not smudge.   Thanks to all!
