One of my favourite Brian quotes is, "It's hard to be hip.  Sometimes it just hurts your head."  I actually had him sing a piece of paper with those words on it several years ago, and it hangs - or, rather, a photocopy of it hangs - in my classroom.  Eighth graders appreciate it...they understand.
