I've had this album for a little while, but I don't see this guy (real name:Mehdi Zannad) mentioned anywhere. Under the name Fugu, he has a couple albums, but this one is head and shoulders above the others. Great baroque/chamber pop. But everytime I put it on, I am constantly thinking it's the son of SMiLE: not in lyrical terms so much (although there is a song about a barn!), but in the instrumentation and feel of the album. And, the first song is a rip off of Workshop. It can be found for mere pennies on Amazon used. Hope some of you enjoy it.

I went to YouTube and listened to a good bit.  Definitely worthy and engaging and the Beach Boys are in there, but more by way of  Emmit Rhodes, The High Llamas, and Belle and Sebastian.  That's a good thing!

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.
What is this "life" thing you speak of ?

Forgot to mention that - Spotify is where I first heard it!

(around the same time, I also discovered Lewis Taylor's "The Lost Album" on Spotify, which features a great Pet Sounds pastiche called "Let's Hope That Nobody Finds Us" - the best song Brian Wilson never wrote).
