Ok, i have a question, when traveling, especially driving and you set up your play list on your iPod or MP3, what Beach Boy or even non BB song do you have to start the trip with?

Surfin' Safari.  It's all about the start of something exciting.

Honkin' down the Highway works everyday. And, it depends on where you are going. Out in the countryside I always crank up Cottonfields. On a long, open and deserted stretch of highway I cruise majestically to Sail On, Sailor. Watch out for No-Go Showboat, despite its name it's too easy to get a ticket while driving to that. And I just have to take my hands of the wheel and clap along to the instrumental break.

These days, I go straight for "Isn't it Time" whenever I get in the car.

"California Girls" is a great opener for any BB tracklist. For a specific roadtrip tracklist, "Surfin' Safari" is excellent - "Early in the morning we'll be startin' out..."

One of my favorite non-Beach Boys' openers for a roadtrip tracklist is "Roadhouse Blues" by The Doors.

From The Beach Boys, it could be anything upbeat.

Lucky Old Sun gets a lot of plays on long drives.

As far as non-Beach Boys, one song I always play on road trips is "About An Hour Ago" by O.A.R. Itself a song about a road trip/adventure. And sometimes "The Way" by Fastball.
