I hope this isn't to far out of the rules on this board. I am  looking to record a concert. I'm looking for any advice on what equipment I might need.  I'm looking for a decent quality tape recorder/mic, or maybe something more "digital"? I'm looking for decent quality equipment for a fairly low budget. You know, something that's not to expensive, but yet something that'll come out sounding decent.

Awesome, thanks.  Grin I forgot to mention that I also need some type of recorder that'll allow me to upload directly to the computer, so that I can transfer the recording to cd and make copies. I should probably mention at this point that it's only a local band that I'd like to record, and I will ask for permission to record beforehand. I'm not trying to tape and bootleg a major band. It's just a local band that I'm a fan of, and would like  to record just as kind of a personal memory of the show.  Smiley

Perhaps I could use the advice of Mr Desper.  Grin

This looks like something I would probably need. It's a little expensive though. I'm not that tech savvy, though. Would I need to buy any kind of accessory pack or other equipment to go with it?
