Frida could be a stunner, but I don't care for her spiky short haired look circa Something's Going On. In any other group, she would've been the one all eyes were on...but she had the misfortune of sharing a stage with beautiful Agnetha.

What's your take on girls' singing voices, then? I guess Ann-Frid's voice is more lively and versatile. Occasionally she sounds like a classically trained singer, which is not necessarily a bad thing. But when Agnetha takes a solo and gives her emotional all... Hands down, she's the queen.

Remember to check this out, Frida reimagines Beach Boys. An interesting version of Wouldn't It Be Nice.

When I was a little girl I loved Frida, I wanted to be like her as I had brown hair, my sister wanted to be Agnetha as she was a blondie Smiley  My dad bought me ABBA Arrival for Xmas and bought my sister the Bay City Rollers.. She was so pissed off!!  Smiley   I have fantastic memories of singing along to this band.  My sister who was more outgoing than I nominated us to do a dance to Nina pretty ballerina at the school assembly!  I froze on stage, while she went for it...  hahaha   I was mortified for days!

I love ABBA and I know every song they have released.

I consider Benny Andersson one of the greatest geniuses of the last (and this) century. I took a lot of flak here on this board because I wanted him to produce TWGMTR instead of JT and BW.

Forgot to mention my favorite ABBA song is Al Andar:

I also forgot to mention I have met Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus in person and they are great people! Really humble and friendly. Their idols are The Beach Boys and Simon and Garfunkel.

Nina Pretty Ballerina is very overlooked, I like it a lot. Benny's piano is sped up to double speed.

Here is a video with a hot picture of Agnetha: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYgSBUtZx6Q

Another overlooked song is My Mama Said, it is so funky! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92L6balksi8

I guess I'd say their voices match their looks - Frida has the more smokey, adult sounding voice; Agnetha's is more girly, but they both have good range. I think their singing talents are often overlooked because B&B's writing is so strong, but of course it was the combination of all their talents that made for the magic.

Cool!

Everyone should also listen to this new song by Benny, it has a killer chorus and a killer tag.

Very well put! And in that way their voices complimented each other perfectly and captured the full range of emotion the boys put into the songs.

BTW, if anyone here has a blu-ray player, please do yourselves a favor and pick up The ABBA Movie! You will freak out!

He's right, y'know. The Name Of The Game dream sequence alone is worth it. And the psychedelic elevator light show to Eagle.
