I'm leaving tomorrow to Avila, by train and then a 2 hour drive.
I'll try to put the setlist and some photos.
Then straight to Barcelona for the second show in three days. What a fantastic weekend!!!

Just as the Beach Boys arrive in Europe the summer finally seems to start (at least it's that way in Germany).....

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Several videos up at http://www.youtube.com/user/VideosAvilared from this show. Not seen a setlist yet (wanting to see what changes they've made for Europe, if any) but from the videos California Dreaming is back.

Also from the videos, no video wall and thus no Carl/Dennis tributes. Very nice performance of God Only Knows from Brian though.

Maybe they're dropping the video tributes for the European shows...

I don't think so. This show was at a festival like Jazz Fest and Bonnaroo so they just didn't have the conditions to use the videos.
I wouldn't be surprised if the setlist would look a lot like that for other festivals like the above mentioned

Okay, didn't know about it being a festival gig.
Just thought that maybe because of less awareness of Denny&Carl in Europe that they might.. hmm.. but if not so... okay.  Cheesy

Ok. I'll paraphrase the first link you posted. Nothing special, really. Other than it says it was a 2+ hour long concert. I'm sure there's no curfew there, even though it's a festival. It says that the audience went wild when Mike in Spanish (somewhat) teased them about he US basketball team beating Spain when they meet at the Olympics (Kevin L. being s player there). From then on, the party went even wilder.

The elmundo.es mentions 50 songs. And it's another very flattering review of the performance. In it a fan tells the story of hm meeting Mike backstage and singng Kokomo in Spanish with him. Later, on stage, Mike sang a line of the song in Spanish.

Are Dennis and Carl really any more well known in the U.S. anyway?

Cool concert story. On Live in London (1969,) Mike introduces Bluebirds Over the Mountain, en espagnol, as well.   Wink
