FOTM was supposed to be doing it, I believe, but if he's too busy you can go for it? Don't see why not, I'd do it myself but I'm really sh*t at doing that.

I've started that, but I have a request, could I have the KMB BT without the trumpet playing the lead? I think the vocal arrangement would be better off without it.

Oh alright, that's fine.

edit Also, if it's alright with you, I'd like to redo the Little Bird part one of these days, my little voice falter during the Oohs is kind of distracting, and I sound off in rhythm on the "'bout my life" part.

Did some work on Cantina: added a wall of acoustic guitar, partial new lead, and IIGS ending. Be sure to turn your volume way up so your ears and speakers are blasted to nothing Smiley

I did a few adjustments to IWTS (inconspicuously Melodyne'd a few notes, added the electric guitar line in the last verse, fixed a bum chord in the instrumental break, took away the flute in the instrumental break): http://soundcloud.com/zachrwolfe/i-went-to-sleep-smileysmile
If I do say so myself, I think this sounds pretty damn good as it is. Shall I start posting it places?  Grin

Seltaeb, since you're producing TTGA now, and I think the rule is you can't sing lead on your own productions, I'd sure like to try that Carl lead, if that's alright?

Sounds GREAT.

Hey man, could I get the KMB track without trumpet on the lead?

It's four AM, I can't sleep (no pun intended  LOL )
As usual, I have an extreme amount of free time with nothing to do (besides sleep I guess, but that's no fun Smiley ).
Decided to do a Don't Worry Baby Mike part to seltaeb's karaoke version. It's probably (no, definitely) not the best policy for us to figure out our own parts and send them hoping they're right, but in this case I'm about 98.31415926535897932384626% sure the part is right. (plus lowest and highest parts are usually the easiest to figure out)
Here you are seltaeb, whether you wanted it or not:
http://soundcloud.com/zachrwolfe/dwb-mike
Also, just for fun, pulled a Barry White on a lead for the first verse/turnaround/chorus, by double-octaving (I'm about as sure that's not a word as I am that the Mike part was figured out right) it. Singing it two octaves down.
http://soundcloud.com/zachrwolfe/dwb-barry-white

Edit: Oh my god, just realized I have the most recent posts in five of the six most recently-posted in threads here. I need a life.

sh*t, totes forgot this. Do you mean all the way through, or in any specific part? Working today, will try to sort that out when done.

Need me to recut any Little Bird stuff? Or am I mixed that low on purpose?  Grin Srsly, I was worried about whether my performance was on key or anywhere remotely close to any notes on the western musical scale, so be honest  Smiley That mix does sound totallllly wild though, good job.

If you're willing to lose your WIBNTLA virginity... This is the only recording I know of in the original key besides the original so far, this is just the first verse, a rough WIP mix...

The harmonies are the only thing I kinda "imagined"

Should we do that? I'd love to take the lead on it!

I've never even heard the marsland version, but I've heard lots of praise and that sounds pretty nice, FOTM, so I'd be willing to do anything on it, name something and I'll do it Tongue
Can totally hear Dennis's voice on it.

Was just wondering, since your keyboard sound reminded me of my own, and sure enough, we've got...similar keyboards. I've got the YPT-300.

Just posted a further improved mix of TID, https://soundcloud.com/zachrwolfe/til-i-die-current
It also has a new Clavichord part, as suggested by Egon.

Not crazy on the mix, but it's not finished. You guys think there's too much reverb?

Was just thinking - All This Is That would be a pretty good choice for this, with the different leads and lots of harmony parts, could involve quite a few people (though it kinda seems like FOTM, hypehat, Egohanger and I have been pretty alone on here as of late, with occasional drop-ins from others) as well as showcase two (or three, if we split up the Al leads). Just a thought.

that's a great possibility--definitely one of their better "lead trade-off" tunes. If this one gets off the ground, I'd like to try Carl's parts Smiley
