I've read from more than a few posters here that the intro is too long or is entirely too out of place.  I think it's wonderful.  "California Girls" is another Beach Boys song with a similarly "long and out of place" intro, and I don't see anyone speaking negatively of it...  Is there a legitimate critique for it?

I think it's been said that it would have been too corny in 1964, which I can see.

I like it too, though. a Lot

I like the intro, but what's wrong with it? It misses the vocals that Brian had in mind but were never recorded.
