Excellent!  You're sure to have fun!  Al keeps great eye contact with the first few rows.

I regret very much not getting a VIP package.  But I'll still be there ready to go.
My first time seeing the other guys.  I've seen Brian twice.

I'll be there as well.

This will be the first time I've see the Beach Boys since 1978 (although I've attended every Brian show in the area).

Wow, must be quite a weird experience!

My God was that show awesome!  Brian looked and sounded great.  The entire band, especially Al were just outstanding.  More when I get home.  Three hours of pure heaven.

Didn't write down setlist, but they played "Still Crusin."  No Prayer, Marcella, or This Whole World.  But still an unforgettable evening.  So glad I went.

Played from 8 to 9:25.  20 min break.  Then again from 9:45 to 11.

Brian sat by himself at the side of the stage before the show and during the entire intermission.  But he was so good.  He played bass the last two songs.. did his shuffle dance..  was really great to see.  Read some rough reports from people on this tour, but he looked like he really wanted to be there and was enjoying himself.  Mike was very talkative in the first set, not much in the second.  Al was just perfect.  Bruce nailed "Disney Girls."  Everything was so much better than Youtube videos or some TV appearances.  The mix was as good as can be.

Heard one negative comment.  Walking to my car, this guy told his buddy he'll never see them again because the guys "can't carry a tune."  Another lady thought my Brian Wilson SMiLE t-shirt was a message for Brian to smile more.  Had no idea.

"Still Cruisin"? Shocked

Yeah.  They said it was a Detroit thing because of our annual Woodward Cruise and all that.

Somebody will hopefully come up with the setlist soon, but compared to last night we didn't get Little Honda, Marcella, or Good Timin'.  We did get Still Cruisin', as I mentioned, and Ballad of Ole Betsy.

Some cool music choices.. Before the band came out, they played "Be My Baby" by the Ronettes and "Changes" by the Zombies.  During intermission, they played "Changes" again and "The Rain, the Park, and Other Things" by the Cowsills.  They also played some early Beach Boys instrumentals and one tune that I had no idea what is was..  The lead singer sure sounded like Brian but I didn't know the song.  Argh.  "Summer Means New Love" played when the show ended.  We sat and watched the crew tear down the stage as we let the crowd thin out a bit.  They got everything down in 10-15 minutes.  Impressive.  Pros.

So how many members of Brian's band do you think contemplated quitting as soon as Still Cruisin' was brought up at sound check?

Haha well, after the inclusion of "Our Prayer" I'm sure Mike dug up a few tunes HE wanted to do too.   LOL

Hmmm... Now, "still Cruisin'" must be the first song they've added, where I think there are several better choices. I guess that all recent additions being non-Mike lead vocals led to this choice. Would have preffer ed "Custom machine" or "Drive-In" or something quirky like those.

Or perhaps something more compelling, like John Cage's 4'33". Here is a contemporary take on the piece, for those unfamiliar with it:

Speaking of Still Crusin', in the video, Matt Jardine and Jeff were in the band at the same time. Why? Was Matt just up there playing tambourines/bongos, or were he and Jeff sharing falsetto?
