A couple of threads were deleted, which started other threads complaining about Chuck for being power hungry. No one can ever be happy. I'm sorry we won't be seeing you around anymore. We've tried to be as fair as possible.

Er...i'm not going anywhere. I'm just a little taken aback at the swift flash-and-burn of Male Ego Redux. It felt like it was never given a chance to settle in before it was yanked. As admins we each have our own tolerance for this and that and the other thing...this was just a rare moment on my part of commenting on someone else's administratorial style. Administrative style. Whatever; don't read too much into it. I tend to support admins in their decisions, because i know how hard it is to BE an administrator. Still...i'll miss the Ego groove. It's as close to blood sport as i ever want to get... |

Hi all, I have set up a board for all of us ex-Ego users to use until somebody puts up something better. Welcome to Male Ego Phase III (temporary title): http://com3.runboard.com/bmaleegoThis is the welcome post I posted over there: I set up this board rather quickly in order to give us a place to continue to get together and do our thing. If someone wants to create a better, more permanent home, then feel free!
The one drawback to this free hosted board system is that it requires a free, one-time registration before posting. I encourage you to use a throwaway email account (like yahoo or hotmail) to register, and give yourself a username like "guest9383" if you want to maintain an air of anonymity.
Right now, I am the only moderator, but that will change in the near future as reliable others become interested in doing it. I plan on taking a hands-off approach to moderation (like junkstar).
So, any questions, let me know. And...

I don't know if there was or there wasn't. I just thought it was odd that the thread - which had been full of reasonable discussion, or so i thought - was so swiftly relegated to the locked forum. I guess that's just the difference in our management styles...i would have left it.
Of course, i would have left a lot of things...and have. And been criticized for it. So...whatever. I was just wondering.

It was about a forum that is no longer active, so I guess there wasn't much need for the thread. People kept not reading the whole first message and kept asking to sign up for the forum, which led to discussions about a forum that is no longer active. THE THREAD. Oof.
