Well after Macca's birthday it's almost Brian Wilson's 70th! I'm sure he'll be celebrating the big day with a nice big steak! Grin

To celebrate the big day what BB/Solo albums or songs will you be listening to in his honour?

I'll most likely be playing the stereo version of Pet Sounds, All Summer Long and Friends, i might play TWGMTR too.

That Lucky Old Sun. After the Knebworth 1980 concert finishes. (Which I'm watching legally BTW).

Uuh, that's tomorrow, right? I'll see if I can get a steak somewhere, and a small cake and then I'll listen to LOVE YOU.

Is it? I suppose then I'll have to listen to them again tomorrow.

I wonder if the media will acknowledge it at all, like they did with Paul McCartney. Probably not.

You lucky people who get to be there in Montreal tomorrow Grin I really hope they/you sing Happy Birthday to him!

I was thinking about whipping up a couple CDs consisting of 70 songs from the Beach Boys, his solo albums, and some of his favorites he's mentioned.

Going to listen to Brian and the boys live, in Montreal!

I genuinely laughed out loud after seeing what your user name is....well done.

I will honor the Summer Solstice like I have for 40 years.  Birthdays are but a time in the cosmos. I'll remember Brian in my chants/mantra.

I've been painting inside our new house lately and I've been playing a lot of cds while I do so. Just the other day I played Pet Sounds (stereo half), Smiley Smile / Wild Honey (2-fer) and Friends / 20-20 (2-fer) back to back. It made an interesting listen (especially the jump from PS to SS). Also I made a long 1500 mile road trip a few weeks back and listened to all 5 discs of The SMiLE Sessions all over again.

So how about 15BO / Love You (2-fer)?

I'm listening to the Come To The Sunshine podcast 70th birthday tribute to Brian put together by Andrew Sandoval for his show on LuxuriaCom earlier this week.
The free 2-hour iTunes download is better quality sound-wise and has many interesting variants and surprises. A great listen ... thanks, Andrew!

So far, it's been Be My Baby on repeat, and Imagination (stereo remix).
