Hi All,

Has anyone managed to work out the chords on any of the songs on the new album apart from TWGMTR? Probably the most complicated one done!

Thanks in advance

I second this notion. I would love to play some of these songs at open mic!

Since you asked so nicely...

Sounds like fun. I'll try my hand at a couple and post 'em when I think they're workable.

If you mess around with A, F#m, Bm, and E you will have the majority of Isn't It Time - the bridge is also those 4 chords in a different order (natch - I think it throws a G in there after the first chorus, and somewhere at the end of the bridge)

Heh, beat me to it hypehat! That's the song I just pounded out at the piano. It's essentially this.

"Isn't It Time"

Verse:
A / F#m /
A / F#m /
D/B / E /
D/B / E /

A / F#m /
A / F#m /
D/B / E /
D/B / E /

Pre-chorus:
E /

Chorus:
A / F#m /
A / F#m /
D/B / E /
D/B / E /

A / F#m /
A / F#m /
D/B / E /
D/B / E /

Transition:
D6sus4/G / D6/A

Verse:
A / F#m /
A / F#m /
D/B / E /
D/B / E /

Chorus:
A / F#m /
A / F#m /
D/B / E /
D/B / E /

A / F#m /
A / F#m /
D/B / E /
D/B / E /

Bridge:
Bm / E /
A A/G# F#m F#m/E

Bm / E /
D6sus4/G / D6/A /
A/B / A /E /

Chorus:
A / F#m /
D/B / E /
x4 (FADE OUT)

Note: I used a piano to transcribe this, so some of these chords may be difficult on other instruments (I'm looking at you, guitar). As far as the "D6sus4" chord, it's misleadingly and unnecessarily complicated sound. It's really just the first inversion (I think) of G major. So I played a G-octave on the left hand, and a D-G-B on the right hand. The D6/A is just an A-octave bass and D-F#-B with the right hand. For the "A/B" I found a B-octave bass and first inversion of A sounded decent.

Man, you did it properly - i just fecked about on my uke!

Pro-tip - if you do play it on a ukelele, as per the recording, you have to play it really high up the neck to get the right voicings- essentially  imagine you're playing it in G with a capo on the second fret.

This was quick, I'm sure there are corrections to be made. Seems like all the trademarks of a BW composition as far as the suspensions and everything. Sounds like a gospel thing like "He Come Down." I love it.

Hit upon the chords to the first half of From There To Back Again - if anyone can furnish the rest, that would be amazing!

Fm7/C#          Ebm7                               Fm7/C#
Why don't you run away and spend some time with me?
            Bbm      /G#              F#                   /G#
On this summers day, there's nowhere else I'd rather be

Fm7/C# -Ebm7

Fm7/C#          Ebm7                          G#
Why don't we feel the way we used to anymore?
             Bbm               /G#                       F#            /F
There's a place along the way, that maybe we could stay,
Ebm7                             /G#
Listen to the waves at my front door

Fm7/C#                                   Ebm7
You've been thinking about some things, that we used to do
Fm7/C#                                   Ebm7
Thinking 'bout when life was still in front of you
Fm7/C#                                   Ebm7
Back where you belong, our favourite song
/G#
Won't you listen?

{Break - Fm7/C# - Ebm7}

F#                                            Fm7
Don't you understand the words, are singing in the wind?
Ebm7                               /G#
I wish we could get from there to back again.
Fm7/C#                                   Ebm7
The clouds are breaking it's a beautiful day
       Fm7           Ebm7            /G#
for a wonderful, Pacific Coast getaway.
Fm7/C#                                   Ebm7
Sun is shining could we just find a way
Fm7 (not sure about the rest of this)
if you just call, just call, just fall......

          F#    F#add9  F# C#
to the ground.

That's all I got!
