It came together a little better by about the second verse.  I wonder if they could hear themselves?  Mike had this look on his face that he gets, like "OH MY GOD, I HAVE TO SAVE THIS" and was attempting to sing the second verse or something?  What the hell went on there?

Well, Brian did forget to come in on the first verse to start off.

Aren't these things pretaped? Brian was out of tune most of the time and missed the opening line. Everything was "off".
I don't think that's gonna help sales at all.

What did they sing? I can't sit through Leno so I'm just gonna watch the end tomorrow.

They're pretaped... and it's a pretty sophisticated show, so I'll bet the reason the mix sounded so weird was they tried to mix it a little better in 'post, so it would sound as good as possible for the show.  Sucks.

Lousy.  Mostly because of the mix.  Brian also looked like he just woke up from a nap.  Nice of Bruce to give that Brian Banks guy a hug.  The kid had clearly been through a lot.

Looking  (relatively) good!  Brian and Al not playing instruments.   Focusing on the vocals?  Which sounded better than on the Fallon show.

Oh sh*t that sounds bad. It's not a live show they should have done a second take. Obviously Jay's "humor" is so much more important. Roll Eyes
Honestly they have been doing it great live, hope the other better TV apperences are what people pick up on.

What did they sing? I can't sit through Leno so I'm just gonna watch the end tomorrow.

The mix sounded weird, Brian didn't sing the first couple lines, so you could just hear Jeff... and then, Brian was singing it pretty decent, but he was sitting too far from the microphone.  So again you coudl only hear Jeff with a little bit of Brian.  So by the time the second verse started, Mike got this "f*** IT, I THINK I CAN DO IT!" look on his face and appeared to be trying to sing the Lead, lol.

Oh well.  Sometimes they're great.  Sometimes they're not.

The Fallon vocals, while not great, were so much better than what I just heard.
I'm so bummed. The vocals were cringeworthy (they did get better near the end...).

You've got to watch it, to see Mike's expression.  He has this look on his face like he is staring death in the eyes.  The entire performance is crashing around him, so he tightens all his muscles up, stands there stone eyed like Clint Eastwood with this "Go Ahead.  Make My Day, PUNK!" Look on his face... and tried to sing the second verse although apparently his microphone was turned off or down or something.  Either that, or he busted out his "All I Wanna Do" Falsetto out, I couldn't tell what the hell I was hearing.

You could hear Dave plain as day in a couple spots.  The mix was THAT screwed up.
