Great, great show, as most have already said.  Agreed that the crowd was a bit lackluster, though that seemed to pick up near the latter half of the show when they did "California Girls".  I can't complain about the set list.  It covered just about everything you could ask for.  I might have switched up the order on some of the songs a bit, as sometimes it seemed when they got some momentum going, it'd dissipate (kicking ass on the car songs, then going straight to intermission.  Playing some of the more uptempo stuff at the end, but then going into less interesting covers, etc.), but it was really well done.

The vocals were great, though I thought Brian was a little rough at first, though I saw him signal during "This Whole World" that he couldn't hear himself, but he came on strong in the second half.  I thought the mix left a bit to be desired, with the levels (particularly on the vocals) being pretty inconsistent at times.

Overall, though, I had a great time.  It was a great place to be and I'm glad I can say I was able to see my favorite band.  I'm really happy for them and how they're going about this.  It's just all very tasteful and well done.  They're kicking ass.

"Friends" w/ all the kids (California Saga) on stage---this one is currently uploading but I'll still put the link here.  I'm going to bed and will leave the computer running.  The link should be active with the video an hour from now.

"All This Is That" - the only song where both the parents and kids shared the stage together and sung.  I think I heard Justyn Wilson fill in for Carl's parts--very lovely.  This one is on the queue but will only start uploading after "Friends" (above) is finished.  So it won't be up for about 2 hours or so.  I'll be very much asleep at that time so please, somebody feel free to post the link of it when it's up.  Just check my channel from the above videos and it should be there---the most recent, latest video.

An incredibly great concert!  Easily one of the best I've ever attended.  (Then again, second row seats just a few feet from the stage, in the midst of hard core fans, certainly enhanced the experience.)  Marilyn told me California Saga will be opening tomorrow night's show in Irvine with a six song set.

Here's the Hollywood Bowl setlist along with a few iPhone photos.

The "All This Is That" clip made me happy.
Who would have thought that one day we would see all the Beach Boys on stage singing together with pretty much of all their children?!
Amazing moment.

Only wish you could  hear them better in the mix.

Thanks for the videos, Justin !!

I think Justyn's (?) Carl part was a little shaky. Darian does a killer singing on that. But I guess with a little practice it will go down better.
Very cool idea !

And Brian also seems really into it and happy.

BTW remember when Matt sang that song in the 90s?

Fantastic video's. On a side note, think Al needs to stay away from the tanning booth.

Thanks, Justin, for sharing the videos. They were very good quality and I enjoyed them very much.

On "All This Is That", when it showed Brian singing along, I actually got choked up.

Man, this reunion has EVERYTHING. It is so great, so healing.

Quite touching to see Brian and Justyn double the lead at 2:50

Beautiful version of "All this is that", like Carl was there..

Also nice interaction between Carny and Brian at the end

It was an incredible show.  The opening group of songs was amazing.  I think David Marks sang lead on Hawaii?

The only downer for me was Brian Wilson's lead vocals, which were horrible.  Every time he sang a lead in the first part of the song I cringed.  The second half was a little better, but not much.

I'm fairly sure that on Isn't It Time that Brian's lead vocal starting the song was pre-recorded.  There is no way he sounded as poorly as he did on the other songs and sounded polished for Isn't It time.

The Hollywood Bowl was packed to the rafters, as a figure of speech.  The corwd was into the show, but really got heated starting with Wouldn't It be Nice, when it seemed like everyone stood up.

The stars of the show were Mike Love and Al Jardine.  Mike Love can still do it and do it well, and Al's voice is tremendous.  You cannot say enough about the backing band in producing music and vocals that made this the best Beach Boys show I have seen since 1976.
