I encourage you to try your math again. The album sold 14000 copies plus from the QVC performance. It's currently number ten on top selling Amazon albums, ahead of, by the way, that Adam Lambert album that went number one a week or two ago.  Combine the QVC sales, Amazon sales, and obvious hard copy sales and maybe a decent number of digital downloads and you've got a top 5, at the very least, album. Seriously. Check out what's usually required on a week to week basis for albums to go to number 1.

Do QVC sales count towards the chart? I don't know if they're registered on Nielsen Soundscan, plus of course the CD sold through them was a double pack, so may count differently.
Even if they do, those QVC sales won't make a huge difference -- I just did a quick google and Barry Manilow managed to sell three times as many copies of one of his albums through QVC and only got to number two. Looking at recent number one albums, they tend to be selling at least one or two hundred thousand copies in their week of release, and I don't see the Beach Boys album doing that.

Amazon sales mean NOTHING!, Brian's Gershwin album got to number 1 on amazon and that sold like 12k first week..

The real sales that matter are on itunes and from stores. Sadly capitol don't know how to advertise on itunes, i.e huge banner on the front page saying "New beach boys album available now" and 2, I'd be surprised if we all have no trouble finding the new album in stores or at best, 2 copies buried in the back somewhere.

I'm expecting top 5 at least. And a Grammy. But let's see.
However it does, it's time to stop pointing at the label every time a new BB/BW album comes out and it does not hit big. Selling and distributing music is these people's job. They've spent a few bucks on this project. It's reasonable to think they're doing their best to back this up.
