Just got home...I enjoyed this show more than the Chula Vista show!  Because no opening act, many songs were added back in, including This Whole World (which unfortunately got a pretty flat audience response).  Scott Totten did Ballad of Ole Betsy, which was great as usual!  First appearance this tour, I think.  They added It's OK back in, too.  This is the first time I've heard it performed on its own (usually it's sandwiched between two songs).  Mike introduced it, they sang it, then they finished it, without seguing into another song.  I think they should do the single version (a little sped up)...it seemed a little slow, I loved it though!

Mostly an older retired crowd, there didn't seem to be very many hard core fans there, if any.  People enjoyed the tributes to Carl & Dennis, and just like last night, they were performed back to back (Forever first, then GOK).  Brian seemed to enjoy this show, as did everyone else.  This was a casino show, and they could have easily done a shortened set, but they did a full show.

I agree with you about It's OK. When I saw them earlier this week, it just didn't pop. I thought maybe it came down to it being the newest addition to the set list, so they hadn't had enough plays yet to really tighten it up, but maybe a tempo change is what it needs. It's a fun song that even people who don't know it could get into at a show, so I hope they do a little something more with it.

I like the song very much. But from the videos I've seen I don't think the intro they added to it works that well (and it reminds me of another song I don't remember right now).

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

The intro is from the song California Beach.  It actually worked well a few years back, played a faster tempo, and part of a 7-song set near the beginning of the show.

There were not many hardcore fans there...mostly an older retiree crowd from neighboring Palm Springs.  But the setlist is exactly the same as show #21, if you wanna check that out.
