Does anyone have any of the vocal sessions from good vibrations? i'm doing a remix of the song for school, and it would be very helpful to have just the vocals. If anyone has any vocals sessions that they could send me that would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know...and thanx a lot. Peace.

Uhhhhhhhh. Bad news for ya. According to Bruce, most of the vocal session reels for Good Vibrations were thrown out in a circa 1967 vault cleaning at Columbia studios.

Yes, this is what has prevented an official stereo remix of the song.

"Hey guys, the sessions to what might just be the best pop single ever released!"
"Chuck em' Ralph."

He was the one who threw them out?
I just made up the name on spot without even making the connection with him.

I doubt he personally threw them out, but he engineered the vocal sessions.

Yeah, they probably are gone. As big as the song is and knowing how Linnet's the big Wilson Stereo Master, he would have gotten a hold of it by now had it not been thrown away.
Oh well, leaves us to make our own creations...such as the released GV and the GV (every piece that I take) side by side on the stereo channels...which is a KILLER mix!
Don't know the "official" name of the GV (every piece) but it sticks out with Brian's vocal singing that. Other than that, it's mostly the original minus the organ dropout where the official one has it.

Excuse me if I'm being redundant, but does this mean there is absolutely no chance of ever getting an official stereo remix of the original 45 version?

Never say never! But, yeah, there is likely never to be an official stereo mix of the original 45 version.
But who cares? "Good Vibrations" is probably
the
greatest mono record ever made. That is something to revel in!
