Since lately, we've all been discussing what should or shouldn't go on a future comp...I'd like to see what your ideal release should be....whether it's 1 disc or 5 discs...it's up to you...I just wanna see a tracklisting...in some form order, chronological or whatever you want...I really get a kick outta reading this kind of stuff... doesn't matter if you've heard it before or not (not revealing sources or anything like that)...just a fantasy post like I always post every now and then.

I'll post my soon

14.  Come To The Sunshine
15.  Oh Lord

I know nothing about 'em other than they're in the vaults and i LOVE the titles. The rest of my choices i've either heard and think they deserve official releases, or i've not heard but am dying to hear (WIBNTLA obviously). But no, the above two i know nowt about other than Brian wrote 'em and they've got great titles!

1. Burlesque
2. WIBNTLA
3. River Song - as mentioned above
4. Thank Him
5. Still A Mystery
6. Can't Wait Too Long - a finished one
7. That song from the SnS era - but the original mix that people were raving about; lyrics by Tony Asher
8. Dennis' soldier song - or has that come out?
9. Had to Phone Ya - early version w/more backing
10. Sail On Sailor - the "cut the crap" composition cassette
11. Any live studio rehearsals of new songs, if that exists - TWGMTR would be fine, if that's all there is
12. It's A Beautiful Day - that hasn't been collected anywhere yet, right?

That's all I can think of; I may be wrong about releases, etc., so don't kill me if I am!

OK. I'm gonna try to be as realistic as possible, in somewhat chron

"Back Home" (1963 version)
"All Day, All Night" (Smiley Smile outtake)
"Where Is She" (Sunflower outtake)
"(Wouldn't It Be Nice To) Live Again" (Surf's Up outtake)
"California Feelin'" (1974 demo)
"You're Riding High on the Music" (1974 demo)
"In the Back of My Mind" (1975 recording)
"Come to the Sunshine" (15 Big Ones outtake)
"California Feelin'" (L.A. (Light Album) outtake)
"Boys and Girls" (KTSA outtake)
"Goin to the Beach" (KTSA outtake)
"Sweetie" (1981 recording?)
"Wouldn't that be Cool" (Made in USA outtake)
"Dancin' the Night Away" (1995 recording)

Gimme this and I'll be more than happy. Obviously a few I don't know the quality of, but I'll take that chance.

Maybe also the nice Surfer Girl w/Brian on piano--this was in the American Band film, but I believe comes from the Cinemax or Showtime special that was made for KTSA--what was the name of that show, anyway? I feel like I never see it mentioned.

(Thank Him For) Our Love - "Marvelled at this feeling we share". Aaah.

You're Still a Mystery - Enchanting.

Back Home (Sunflower version) - Better than the released version.

Let's not forget Dennis's "I've Got A Friend" instrumental track, supposedly stellar. If the live performances are any indication, I'd put that among the very best unreleased stuff along with WIBNTLA and Brian's "California Feeling" demo. "Solar System" with unexpectedly creative backing vocals only is supposedly terrific as well.

I think mine is fairly easy.  I'm not asking anyone to really go mining too far into the vaults.  Most of this stuff should be easily accessable.  I'd rather have high quality versions of songs I know (or heard reputable sources report) were good, rather than risk disc space on something that could turn out to be the equivalent of "Teeter Totter Love".  Not that I wasn't happy with TTL's inclusion on the Smile sessions, I'm just thinking it's very doubtful we'd ever get a Vaults collection that spanned more than five CD's (I'm thinking two at best) so I'm trying to think economically here.  A lot of us probably consider most of these "easy" to find but I feel all of it deserves to stand in the band's active catalog, in release level quality.

Back Home (first and second versions; maybe one on each disc)
Thank Him For Our Love
Sherry, She Needs Me (completed with a "sweetened" 2012 lead vocal from Al)
I Guess I'm Dumb (regardless)
The Letter
Can't Wait Too Long (pieced together and "finished", if possible)
My Solution
Wouldn't It Be Nice To Live Again
Carry Me Home
It's A New Day
Big Sur (original version)
We Got Love
Hard Times
Wild Honey (live with lead vocal by Blondie)
Jumpin' Jack Flash (live)
Honkin' Down the Highway (with Billy Hinche lead vocal)
Ruby Baby (Love You era)
It's Over Now (in the correct key)
Calendar Girl
California Feeling (incorporating Brian's demo vocal, if possible)
It's A Beautiful Day
Stevie
Runaway (live)
Any number of songs from Summer In Paradise (preferably Island Fever, Walking In The Sand, or Under the Boardwalk) completed by putting the 1994 vocals onto a new track arranged and produced by Brian and recorded by his band
Dancin' the Night Away
You're Still a Mystery

I hope they would give half a disc to Adult Child, it really deserves it as much of the music is very good!

I much prefer the Adult Child version of Shortenin' Bread to the released LA version.
