I think these guys are sounding good enough to open for the Beach Boys, and people would eat it up.

The man isn't that old (Mike Brown, I mean), so it's surpising to see him needing help getting onstage.  I didn't realize he was in The Stories.  That's quite an evolution from "Pretty Ballerina" to "Brother Louie."

Beyond the chamber-music pop, there are parallels with Brian -- Mike's dad was a troublesome manager that had to be dumped, Mike wanted to stay home and arrange while the other guys toured, Mike had mental health issues. . . .
