Just starting to put together Part Two, for putting online later in the year ...
Would value any thoughts about it (hopefully in the positive !)

It certainly looks beautiful.  What did you use to write the HTML?

I'm really enoying the writing and the research...nice format...very nice job. One major correction should be made on Little Deuce Coupe page. You note that David Marks left the group "two months" before the album appeared in stores. In actuality, David was still a Beach Boy during the recording of the LP...and still a Beach Boy the week LDC appeared in stores...his last gig coming early that same month. My upcoming book "The Lost Beach Boy" conclusively proves that his "official" date of departure was later backdated and fudged by Murry Wilson to minimize future royalty payments to David.

Another notable fact...regarding the All Summer Long cover...Alan was not at the photo shoot used for the cover. His photos were taken at a different time and inserted to match. You'll note that you won't find Alan in any shot with the other guys...or in any of the ASL shoot outtakes.

I'd love to help you at any time. I really enjoy the tone of the writing, and the look of the pages...very entertaining work! You can contact me through my website...

And sorry if I seem picky...but I noted a comment in the Summer Days text about "wondering" what Dennis' participation on the SDSN sessions might have been. He definitely played drums on two tracks... "Girl Don't Tell Me" and "Then I Kissed Her"(and perhaps a couple more...as he played drums on four cuts on BB's Today!))...as well as providing backing vocals on many of the LP's tracks. I gotta stick up for Denny...that's my mission I guess.

Pretty safe assumption it's Dennis on "You're So Good to Me".

I liked the obscure BB's trivia regarding the BB's Party photo shoot...the fact that the LP on the turntable in the Party shots is non-other Jan and Dean's Command Performance LP. I can add some further obscure trivia to that point which is completely BB's related. The J&D Command Performance LP taping was at an Oct. '64 concert at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium. Who were the opening acts that night?? Non other than Dave and the Marksmen, the Fantastic Baggys, and Glen Campbell.

Hey - don't get all technical on me now ! The web-hosters set up all the technical stuff, I just upload my text and pix, choose the font and colour, and lay it all out ! But thanks for the good words - nearly 1000 'hits' on the first day alone !

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.
