Hopes are up for a great tour.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

I'd be pissed if I paid for VIP tix and couldn't even get an autograph or personal pic to prove it happened.

When someone says "stage left" do they mean as if you're on the stage looking out at the crowd?

Al singing lead on WIBN! I wonder if they're doing it in the original key (doubtful) or in the same key Brian did it in when he sang it at his solo shows? If it's in the lower key then Al will nail it!

Okay, well ... remember that stupid thread I started a couple of days ago?

Forget it.

So far, this seems about as good as I could have imagined.

Now, about this "Spring Vacation" song ...

Interesting about Forever. Not what I was expecting but it sounds like it will work based on Prodigal's comment.

I wonder if he is going to revive his look of death when people screw up during songs? Cool

It's sounding like the setlist is along the same lines as the 2008 Mike/Bruce/David shows -- lots of crowd pleasers but with a handful of early-70s stuff to please us fans, and a few early-60s songs-that-sound-like-hits.
Which is exactly what I both hoped and expected (and those 2008 shows were astonishing, so this should be too).

That's what the first couple of years of Brian's shows were like too -- some of his finest live work.

David does a great job on that one. I wonder if Totten or Foskett is doing the "Baby  baby my baby" bit? Foskett used to do it when Brian did the song on tour, but Totten sounds *spookily* close to the record when he does it...
