Like no other.
Sounds good, Mari. I heard something by BH years ago, didn't warm to it and left them alone after that. I do like this though.
Regards to you and Mr Waves. :=)

Liked it immediately & then downloaded from some site few years back. The kind of song that lifts spirits.

Rolling Stones "Sweet Black Angel" - fans usually prefer "Sticky Fingers", "Goats Head Soup" if asked which 70s album is favorite. There's good & bad tracks in both. "Exile in Main St." is about the same but I still prefer it to any 70s album. "Sweet Black Angel" is great song, it's got hooks, features best Mick vocal in the album, he's really good at doing "black" accent/ voice & he plays harmonica
very
good. Listen to it & you'll be tapping the percussion & acoustic guitar with Keith, Mick & Jimmy Miller.

He had an earlier radio hit in the UK with the intriguingly titled "I Am A Cathedral":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvgGQCn82rc
"FOJ" is pretty good too (I like the wind riff at the end).
I didn't realize he'd died earlier this month. RIP, Mr Sarstedt.

oh, good. I've also sort of listened to
In Rainbows
and
Amnesiac
, and so far I think I like OK Computer the best.
But while we're at it,
this is a good one
, too. Or at least it gets good in the latter half.

'The Four Seasons - Violin Concerto in G Minor, RV 315, "L'estate" (Summer) : III. Presto'
by Joshua Bell and the Academy of St. Martin In The Fields.
I've been playing this often for the last month or so. This version is probably the most well played all around that I've ever heard. I'm always looking for new versions of The Four Seasons so if anyone has any recommendations please feel free to suggest!

Curious to know what you think of this. Maybe you know that Max Richter has "recomposed"
The Four Seasons
. For someone who isn't the work's biggest fan, this is a godsend! I often have this wondrous album playing while I work.

Yes! I can't even tell you how many times I've listened to that album. When I first heard about it I thought "Recomposing Vivaldi? That's sacrilege!" Then when I heard it I thought it was brilliant. It actually got me hooked on Max Richter's other work, not sure if you've heard it, but his album
Memoryhouse
is an incredibly chill/beautiful album. The song '
November
' is especially good.

Cool. Thanks for the tip! I've seen quite a lot of Richter's work around so it's good to be pointed at something specific. I'll give it a try. :=)

I like "Untitled", "Fool" (cool arrangements) & uptempo numbers "Ghost", "Holland 1945". The rest is tedious, esp. "Two-Headed Boy" (both). But, as I said, Mangum's voice is jolly good.
