I think when we all read the word "fan mixes," most think of SMiLE mixes, which is legit. But to me, I'm thinking about the ones that tell a story with all kinds of tunes used besides the Smile era. I've honestly not heard or see a lot out there. The ones I know are instant classics and if you haven't heard em, you are missing out!!!

The items I'm referring to are Jerry Boyd's mixes: The Life of Brian (Discs 1-5) are flipping fantastic! some of the best audio documentries I've ever heard. His other is The Beach Boys SMiLE Again and the fantasy story on that has to do with having an album come out after a successful Smile album being out before it. Information on this is on the Ear Candy Magazine site....happy hunting!

Otherwise, I'd love to hear about any other fan mixes (other than Smile) that are out there.
I was thinking about making a "Brother Records Promo Disc," It's just a disc acting as a promo of "future acts" for Brother Records (in the late 60s, had the label take off at the time):

1. Lonely Days (demo- Hawthorne CA)
2.Time to Get Alone (Redwood)
3. Oh Yeah! (Beach Boys with kid)
4. Leaves of Grass (Stephen Kalinich)
5. Gettin' Hungry (Brian and Mike)
6. The Letter (studio cut/Brian lead vocal)
7. It's Time (Pickle Brothers)
8. Pig Flucker (Dennis lead session)
9. Let the Wind Blow (Amy vocal)
10. America, I Know You (Stephen Kalinich/Brian Wilson)
11. Teeter Totter Love (Jasper Daily)
12. Get Your Mind Made Up (the Flame)
13. Darlin (instrumental track for Redwood)
14. A World of Peace Must Come (Stephen Kalinich/Brian Wilson)
15. Mona Kani (Dennis Wilson)
16. See the Light (The Flame)
17. Can't Wait Too Long (Beach Boys)
18. Tune X (Carl Wilson)
19. Don't Worry Bill (The Flame)
20. I Don't Know (Dennis Wilson)
21. You're Welcome (Beach Boys)
22. You're So Good to Me (live in Hawaii)
23. Their Hearts Were Full of Spring (studio cut from 67)
24. Sail Plane Song (Brian and the guys)

"Well, you reached out to me too, David, and I'd be more than happy to fill Bgas's shoes. You don't need him anyway - some of us have the same items in our collections as he does and we're also much better writers. Spoiled brat....."
