This new song started off as a little ditty but our inner Phil Spectors quickly took over and made us pour on a lot of instruments and vocal tracks! It's definately the most time-consuming recording of ours...

It's called 'Favourite Record' and is exactly what it implies, a song about listening to favourite records. :-)

Tell me what you think?

.... and can you pick out all the album titles recited in the outro? There are a few Beach Boys album titles thrown in.  Grin

I love the melody/vocals on "found me a lifetime companion long ago in a record shop".  Something emotional in that musical bit.  Lots of Beach Boys and power pop on this one.

Thanks for posting.

I can hear a bit of "Rainbows" in the tag.

What is this "life" thing you speak of ?

Thank you for the kind words guys!  Smiley We spent quite some time on this track so it's nice to know that the effort shows.

@Crinkleman123: Any resemblance to Rainbows in the tag is unintentional. But centainly not a bad song to be reminded of when hearing our track.
