This is like four degrees of hearsay, but someone told me yesterday he had heard from someone who works on a magazine that works with Bamboozle that the Beach Boys would be playing and they just haven't announced it yet.

Bamboozle is May 18th, 19th, and 20th and is in Asbury Park NJ. They're not playing anywhere on the 18th or 20th and in the 19th they're playing in Atlantic City which is like an hour and a half away. So it does fit into their tour schedule. The reason I'm inclined to believe this is because I was talking to this guy about music and he clearly didn't know anything about the Beach Boys, so he wouldn't have decided to concoct this rumor and go out of his way to see if the dates lined up etc.

It would be super weird if they played Bamboozle though, because it's mainly punk/hardcore/pop-punk/post-hardcore bands. and Skrillex.

Sounds almost as crazy as playing the Monterey Pop Festival.  Or something like that.

Wouldn't all the acts for Bamboozle have already been decided upon by now?

I live in Asbury Park so I'd be more than happy to see this come true, it just seems a tad unlikely...

That might be because the location is North Beach.

Also, when Bruce plays in NJ it's usually somewhere like Giants Stadium.

It's listed on the Beach Boys Band website, although it may be an error.
