Hi,  I'm from Australia and have been reading the posts on this forum for quite a few months before joining. I love it!

I have loved  The Beach Boys all my life, but had only really listened to the best of compilations. Now however I've discovered all their post 68 albums and I am so amazed I've never heard any of it before!  I've been deprived.

The funny thing about what started me on my current journey is that it began with Lady Lynda!  Yep, I heard it on the radio and thought "that's pretty, wonder who sings it?"  When they said Beach Boys, I Couldn't believe it.   I then looked for it on youtube and then my obsession really began.  I found songs I'd never heard before, beautiful, amazing songs.  I must admit after Lady Lynda it was seeing the live clip of Carl singing Darlin' that really clinched it, He is by far my favourite.

I look forward to meeting lots of fellow BB fanatics .

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Thanks Lowbacca Smiley   I thought I'd seen most of the BB youtubes but hadn't seen that one.  I wonder who Al was talking to when he asks how he should sing it "Bing Crosby" etc.  That's kind of weird actually, couldn't he just use his own voice?

Yeah that's a shame huh, considering we have supported them at times when their own country didn't.  They might add them on later??

.and welcome from the Dutch contingent too. I always loved LL, all the more so of course because its main melody is from J.S. Bach. You might like the Byrds 'She Don't Care About Time' - same source (I mean, the chorale: 'Jesus Der Du Bist Meine Freude' (Jesu Joy Of Man's Desiring).
