I've just read all sixteen pages, and maybe I shouldn't be surprised, but I am decidedly disheartened that in all this text, maybe three people have commented on the main event tonight - good or bad, glad or sad, this was The Beach Boys ,reunited in real time, all five on the same stage at the same time and looking happy to be doing exactly that. Yes, Brian was saftey-netted, but I heard him, even on youtube. This is the beginning of the C50 process: I'm expecting major press in the upcoming days concerning the album, archive releases and tour.

That says it all, and I'm surprised nobody else is excited by this. It sounds like we will hear about all the awesome stuff we've been wishing for.

It's been confirmed that the tour dates will be announced on Wednesday (15th Feb) and I would expect new album and 'possible archival CD product' news to follow soon after. I think a lot of people on this board are getting excited now, for me the excitement comes from the tantalizing comments on the new album, we have four possible songs mentioned already and plenty of positive comments from all involved. Who would of thought 12 months ago that we would have The Smile Sessions released, the reunion confirmed and a new album on the way? Great times to be a Beach Boys fan!

Thanks for all the insider information, Jon ! They really can be happy with their appearance, it was very good. And great to hear that the album progresses.
Like I mentioned in another thread, it actually looks like they are hanging out together in some way. I'd be happy if they could be friends again (no pun). Hopefully the wifes don't bitch  I believe I spotted Melinda sitting next to Mike's wife at the Grammy awards
