If not, it would be nice to hear some properly recorded versions of Everything I Need and This Isn't Love.

I am sure that the best thing for them to do is write songs together. I think it would be good to have 7 or 8 songs by B.Wilson/M.Love, a couple by Al and Dave individually, and a couple of unreleased Carl and Dennis gems.

I am putting my trust in the producer and executive producer.

Somehow, I feel they should have tried this arrangement earlier.

Both "This isn't love" and "The first time" (I know the latter is no Asher collaboration) would deserve a studio recording. "Everything I need" is a beautiful song. I wish for mostly new or unreleased compositions, though.

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Brian and Tony wrote a half-dozen or so songs in the mid-90s, including one called "Rock and Roll Express." It was after the Paley sessions and with half-a-mind to write an album for Wendy and Carnie. Didn't quite work out, as was the case with a lot of BW's projects from that time. Somehow I doubt we'll see them on the new album. Brian re-cutting material doesn't always work the way you'd hope.

They did. It was a little project called "Stars & Stripes vol. 1."
