Does anyone know where the footage of Dennis with the short hair and pretty much no voice singing You Are So Beautiful live is from? I see it turn up in a couple documentaries but never found out the source,

Atlantic City, 7/4/83 I believe ... originally released on the 'American Band' documentary from '85.

That sounds right. I found a link to the audio but it's deleted. If anyone has the audio or video of this please send me a PM. Can't find it nowhere.

That's what the producers of that docu led the audience to believe, but actually Dennis didn't sing that song on July 4th that year.  The footage is from an early August show in California (Costa Mesa, I believe).

Plus, Brian didn't play the piano for his brother: creative editing.

Is that the last filmed performance of Dennis singing?

For some reason I always imagined that was Bruce…

It's upsetting to watch that footage, Dennis can barely speak let alone sing, should have stayed in the can.
