[Wilson, a singer and composer for the Beach Boys, received the Music for Life Award from the organization. After hobbling on stage and saying he has a bad back, Wilson participated in a question-and-answer session that lasted about five minutes. He was asked what advice he has for young musicians.
"If you want to write a song, write the whole song," Wilson said. "Don't crap out half way."/b]
