The Belmonts played at my high school several years ago. It was one of the greatest concerts I've ever seen or heard in my life.

Sad to see all these guys pass away.  I'm surprised he was so young, though, because he was likely there with Buddy Holly the night he died, correct?  I mean that's a LONG time ago, and the guy's only 72? 

Poor guy probably half froze to death on that bus that night, probably had no idea how lucky he was.

He'd have been about 19? Don't forget Buddy was only 21 and Ritchie only 17.

That makes sense.  I guess the numbers add up!  Can you imagine Buddy Holly as a 74 year old?  Wow.
