Who is this Beatles group you speak of?

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

But it only seems to have about 6 regular posters, must be some more active ones out there.

There's a great forum on http://www.fabfour.info/Home.html if you are into getting downloads

Then there's http://www.bootlegzone.com/phpBB3/index.php which has a lot of beatle content.

Hope you find something interesting...

The Steve Hoffman forum has a huge beatle following. They even had one of the original
Beatles engineers posting there. Until they did their usual "super rude" "powertrip" nad censored
one of his posts for no reason, except they could and did, so he stopped going there.

But there are people that know every detail of every record, burp, live performance, bowel movement.

If you should take a position contrary to the lead clique however, they will relish insulting you, censoring your
posts, suspending or banning, you I'm sure you get the picture.

Sadly the Beatles unlike the Beach Boys aren't doing squat with archival tracks or creating virtual reunions
or remixing albums, so there isin't quite so much to talk about.

There are forums that are strictly for Beatles and no other bands, but those places usually have about
four regular visitors a day, maybe ten. McCartney's official forum has a huge Beatle chat, but the level
of intelligence isin't too high, most of the people who post over there seem to be about twelve years old
at least thats how they sound when you read what they write.

there's a good new source for Beatles news called WOGBLOG its been around a couple years now, the guy
gets some different stories that other places don't get.

Not with lots of people like this one here no, there isin't.

The Steve Hoffman board has hundreds of Beatle freaks and fans
they have the authors who wrote a lot of the Beatle books on the
recordings and or history. People who are very well informed. There
is a beatle forum called     Beatlelinks     They get lots of people, but'
they aren't well informed on the subject of the Beatles recordings or
history the way people here know the Beach Boys, and the way people
at Hoffman know the Beatles.  Beatlelinks thats all Beatles all the time,
but its not a very good forum. It's ok, but most of the fans aren't that well
informed over at Beatlelinks. No former Beatle engineers or authors or
anything like that.

Yeah, there is a great one called The 910 and it's run by Doug Sulpy, who used to publish the 910 Magazine.

It's an excellent, excellent board.  It's not just a "fan" site; there is a good mix of criticism, appreciation and discussion; not unlike THIS board.  There is a lot going on over there, trust me.

The site is:

http://dsulpy.proboards.com/index.cgi

Newguy, it's probably the closest thing to THIS board that you will find, about the Beatles.

From a quick look this seems good, there had to be one out there.

a bit more re: the Sulpy board.

There are a bunch of "old dudes" there -- VERY knowledgeable, VERY experienced, if a little cranky at times.  Also, there are some "younger dudes"; what they lack in experience they make up in enthusiasm.

It's a fun board, like this one.

Check it out.

yeah thats true the Sulpy board is a real bonafide Beatle board
with experts who know everything, what kind of strings were on
the guitar on May 8th, where they bought their ties, you name it.

I don't know how much message traffic and posting they get compared
to here, or a place like Hoffman however.

Maccaspan has a pretty decent Beatle section, some inside McCartney
people go there from time to time, and some Beatle authors and various
people. not a lot of traffic on the Beatles as a band however.

This one is the most gigantic Beatles site I've seen in the interwebs: http://www.beatles.ru/  There has been posted lots of rare & random information about the group & their individuals. It keeps updating every day & not only concerning The Beatles, but also other major & not so artists. Those who don't speak Russian can find here stuff in English too. Though it's a small number of threads like this. Anyway, here are the links to the photo galleries of each Beatle. I myself found many & many shots that never stumbled across anywhere. So there's a chance that some of you maybe will find sth. rare as well.
