I'll mirror it if that's cool with everyone? Don't want to piss off PS since he was the one kind enough to share it, but I do already have it downloaded.

Good one. These boys have talent. Should make it big....

Mike's bass vocals always has been terrific. He just needs a microphone for himself because as Chuck Britz said, Mike's working very close to it. If he's not close enough you can't hear him very good if at all. But through the years his bass vocal was always intact even when he got so annoingly nasal.

I'm pretty sure they sampled the original DIA intro for this. Why ? To have Dennis on the track ?
All in all, this sounds almost like a hit and although I hate re-recordings I must say that I'll listen to this more than once. If they have new material that sounds as fresh and good as this and release it as a single, they really could get another big one.

And of course it almost brought tears to my eyes seeing the boys back together, standing around one microphone. Man that really is something special right there

EDIT:

BTW, if you stop the video at 2:23 I believe you can see Probyn Gregory and some keyboard player that I don't recognize (maybe G. Griffin ?)

EDIT 2: No, it's Scott Bennet, you see him at 2:40

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Both Gary and Scott are in there. Gary is earlier in the vid like you say and then Scott pops up at 2:40

Hi folks

I'm not certain what the legal status of that video is, to be frank. Not my dropbox account. Better not to post it on YouTube, etc. Please keep it reasonably private here,  entres nous, until I hear otherwise. Looks like an unfinished video cut to me, with Getty Images in place instead of original material. So I don't want some editor to get in trouble. I have no idea what the original source is.

Is it safe to assume that the "Joe" remark from (what sounds like) Brian, that occurs during the little studio conversation bit at the end, is indeed Joe Thomas....or someone else altogether?

Bit late for that - it was reposted to the Hoff, and on from there (amongst others by me, I freely admit): you said in the original post your friend gave you the OK to go public with it (and yes, here is public), and you didn't state any restrictions whatsoever, so my conscience is clear. I suggest you start doing some fancy thinking.

Looks like Mertens to me. Check out about 1:28 in the video.

Looks like Brian's band really comes out on top here ... not that it's a contest, but I'm surprised to see Probyn in there. That's two members of Mike's band to six (possibly seven) from Brian's.

So I'll betcha that's your 50th Anniversary touring band in that video (minus Dave of course)!

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

Hoping that for a tour they find some way to incorporate Ed Carter and Billy Hinsche, they've been around so long I regard them as members of the band.

Also how badass does Mike look when he's walking into the studio at the start of the video! Cool I've been watching it on repeat and every time I see that part i'm like "YES! We're cooking with gas now!"
