In Brian Wilson I Feel so Fine on the Hamburger Sessions, does anyone know if it was a cover, or something he wrote?  It kinda sounds like a doo wop song to me.
Any insight would be great!!!!!  Thanks Smiley

If this is the same take as the "Cocaine Session", there's part where he freaks the f*** out and says something like, "I JUST CAME UP WITH THAT, JUST NOW!" and is obviously pretty impressed with himself.

I hear a lot of really good beginnings of songs on this tape - shame not a damn thing made it past that point, it seems.

I've never heard that take where he says that.....where can it be found?

"City Blues" came from this period, which in my opinion, really sucks.

"Oh Lord" was apparently recorded for The Beach Boys '85, and it's hard for me to imagine what it would have sounded like with that album's sound.

I've always thought that the first few seconds of "I Feel So Fine" sounded like an early version of the intro to "Male Ego", and the rest of "I Feel So Fine" sounded like an early version of "It's Just A Matter Of Time".

"City Blues" has a great hook and chorus and little else but it's a blast in the car.  Makes you want to drive real fast!

I think its the not very believable Brian vocal that does it for me.

I like that tape. It's the last piece of Brian before he was Landyized
