And the back cover ... ah, that improbable jawline.

Edit: And really, why is some of the text vertical?

The Imagination cover is fine. It tied in with the video clip of sea and waves when he was singing. GIOMH is shocking considering Peter Blake "designed" it. Though there is a bio of Macca that rips the design off, maybe Blake used the same artwork Huh

Pitchfork's annual Worst Album Covers is, as always, good for a laugh. However, I find the inclusion of BWITKOD slightly excessive given the strength of the competition (check out the entry from "No Emotion"), although from what I've seen lately I gather there are others here who might think differently.

Just to be a snob for a minute here: I never understood why people make lists of the 'worst' things in life.  Spending energy trying to find something negative seems like a waste of time to me.  I'd never be able to pull off a list of 10 covers.  I thought the cover looked great.

At least the cover wasn't a real life Brian hanging out with an animated Mickey Mouse.  Grin

That cover is truely awful. What did they tell the person who photoshopped that? To make Brian look like he was 25 years old?

Worst of all, he looked like an entirely different person.

I am also not keen on the cover, it has too many cliches all at once. However, a friend posted a link to the pitchfork thing and also one to this: http://thequietus.com/articles/07520-quietus-albums-of-the-year-2011

There are a dozen albums with far, far worse covers on that page that have not been mentioned by pitchfork. Maria Minerva for example.

LOL a friend got it first, way back then. He showed me the CD at dinner, and I promptly said: why, the son of Brian Wilson - he made a CD?
