I saw Boyd, I guess Linnett was there too, among other luminaries.

Thanks for the links.

Sounds like this was directed at this board!

They had allotted 350 for the guest list and it was full up.  It was a zoo!  The decorations were awesome.

It was a great evening for fans, indeed.  I had RSVP'd to the event with an order of the vinyl...not having enough money at the the time for the boxset.  I decided I'd get the boxset at the signing.  I arrive last night, they give me my vinyl but they are compeltely sold out of the box sets. Ugh!  I really wanted Brian to sign my box set too.  I get in line, and Brian eventually signs my vinyl.  Some guy documenting the event was up front and asked me what my favorite song off the album was....I froze but then blurted out "Heroes and Villians!"  Both he and Jeff both exclaimed, "Finally!  Someone who actually listened to the album!"  I wonder what other people mentioned?

On the way out, I checked if any extra box sets came up...nope.  So, I decided to drive to the nearest Best Buy that had the box set.  It was in Torrance....11 miles away.  I left at 7:45...drove the 11 miles...ran into the Best Buy...grabbed the box...ran to the car....sped as best as I could back to Long Beach....parked right out front...it was now 8:45pm....they were already folding up tables and cleaning up the stage area.  Brian had left.   Buuuuuuummer.

Anyway, it was great to see Brian.  Apparently, Fingerprints had a photographer and took pictures of everyone meeting Brian...said they would post on Facebook....haven't seen them up yet.

Here's what they said to one person who asked on their wall:

"We're just starting to get them in in small batches from the photographer, and hopefully we'll be able to get a few up tonight before bed, but to be safe give us a couple days."

Incidentally, I recognized some of the usual Ebayers/sellers at the signing, huddled out front like the hawks....no surprise that about 5 or 6 items are already up on Ebay.  Sad.

Nice one! Smiley Heh, Brian's facial expression after Foskett says his bit...I wonder what's running through his head there.

LOL

That's freakin' great! I wish I had been there. I can't imagine being put on the spot like that - no way in hell would I have remember that 'Look' is my favorite track!

God must’ve smiled the day Brian Wilson was born!

"ragegasm" - /rāj • ga-zəm/ : a logical mental response produced when your favorite band becomes remotely associated with the bro-country genre.

Ever want to hear some Beach Boys songs mashed up together like The Beatles' 'LOVE' album? Check out my mix!

Yeah even looking back...I'm wondering why I didn't mention "Surf's Up" since the song just slays me.  It's very weird what your brain shoots out when you're put on the spot like that!

I'm also wondering what other people had answered to the question since Jeff was really surprised.  It seems most people couldn't answer the question.

I know for a fact I'd have been like a rabbit caught in headlights in that situation...assuming my mind hadn't already exploded from being in the same room as Brian effing Wilson at a SMiLE Sessions signing.

My favorite is when they're putting up the Smile storefront and you hear the workshop sounds LOL.
