 after searching for what seems like forever, just got a copy in the mail;
Smiley Smile LP cover, still in the shrinkwrap, with the splendid Good Vibrations sticker.
Wish it didn't have the paper tear, tho. But the stickers seem to be fairly scarce( how many people left their shrink on in 1967, or saved the sticker for all these years?? )
 What's weird, tho, is this scan shows the sticker almost grey, when in reality it's a light brighter; almost bright yellow compared to the green cover

Nice find, bgas. I cannot remember seeing one in recent memory.

Don't know how rare this is:

Perhaps it was free because "Title for this Album by Barry Turnball" was omitted  Undecided

Ha, not that rare! Just included the inner LP sleeve to emphasise the "FREE" punch-out as it's hard to see on the slick.

Well, no. It was "free" because that's the way Capitol was marking their promos at the time.
For the BBs 1960's LPS, they started with timing strips, went, briefly, to a rubber stamped "Demonstration copy", to "promo" to "free" to a 1/2 inch circle punched out.
I believe Peter Reum is selling a Surfer Girl LP with the timing strip on Ebay.
